High School Mission Trip - Chicago

Chicago Mission Trip | June 7-13 | with LeaderTreks (more info below)
** We are excited about what God is already doing as we plan this mission trip. While this registration shares our current plans and estimated costs, more information will be communicated as details are finalized. Final trip costs may vary depending on group size, fundraising efforts, and our City Explore Day. Thank you for your flexibility and partnership as we prepare together.

Who can attend this trip? Students who have finished 7th grade through 12th grade in the 2025/26 school year. (We are also looking for an additional female adult and male adult to help chaperone this trip. Please let Tara know if you are interested!)

What will we be doing? These are details LeaderTreks will work to finalize, but generally we will be serving at places like a Soup Kitchen serving food, a Free Store helping to organize donations, possibly running a VBS for either kids or a nursing home, etc. We will serve as a group each day, and on our last full day of the trip we will get to Explore and do something fun in Chicago. This part is also still in the planning process.

Where will we stay? We will be staying at a church (unknown location currently, but will provide once I know it) and yes the church has showers! :) Girls and boys will sleep in different areas of the church.
 
What is the cost of this trip? There are many factors that we will need to figure out before I can provide a final total - such as not knowing how many will attend the trip and whether we need to rent another vehicle to get there. Currently, we are requiring a $150 nonrefundable deposit (We will do everything we can to return this deposit but it will be depend on the date and how much we have to pay LeaderTreks for the spot. If we are able to find another student to fill the spot, a full refund may be possible) to register for this trip. My BEST guess at this point is that the trip will cost $750 per person (and no more than $800), before fundraising efforts. **Please DO NOT let money be a factor in determining if your student can come. I know it's hard to talk about finances, but we do not want finances to stop a student from being able to participate in this trip. We have some scholarship funds available, and can help in other fundraising efforts to help as needed. (Reach out to Tara if you need financial assistance)
